he three committees convened launch meetings in March and began strategizing methods and approaches to advance
ECCLPs' mission.

Recruitment Announcement:
PK–12 Teacher Workgroup
We are seeking
PK–12 teachers currently teaching in California school districts, teachers on special assignment (TOSAs), teacher leaders, and/or pre-service teachers/student teachers in teacher preparation programs to join the PK–12 Teacher Workgroup.
Together with the working committees, the PK–12 Teacher Workgroup will support the creation and implementation of effective state programs and initiatives. This workgroup will center educator voices in the goals and strategies outlined by the working committees and offer educators in the workgroup an opportunity to implement and provide feedback on strategies that flow out of the committees across the state, grade levels, and disciplines to support school districts and students in addressing climate and environmental literacy, justice, and action.

ECCLPs UCI Task Force is inviting over 150+ faculty and staff members for their
UCI Task Force kick off event on October 12. This event will bring together an array of faculty and staff members across all UC Irvine schools and departments.

A statewide coalition medical and environmental health researchers, educators, youth, and community groups published the
Climate Resilient California Schools: A Call to Action, a new report that explores the challenges of climate change from the perspective of children’s health and education.
A gift to this UC–CSU initiative is an investment in the partnerships and strategies that will educate all of California’s high school graduates to be literate in climate and environmental justice issues and solutions.
