Educators Network for Climate and Environmental Action (ENCEA)

The UC Irvine (UCI) Science Project, with support from the California Science Projects (CSP), recently launched the ENCEA. This is a K-16 science network that aims to connect regional CSP, local environmental agencies, county office of education partners and relevant industry professionals throughout the year for online and in-person events and opportunities focused on advancing climate and environmental literacy and action. The network is starting off with a teacher professional learning series for teaching climate change and activating K-16 student action. The four sessions introduced ECCLPs, current related efforts and ways to teach about climate change using research-based practices and approaches. More information here. Regional panel sessions, teacher cohort recruitments and networking events are began in Spring 2023.
